Just a week before our January Scrapbook Day, I was reminded of our event the previous year when we took in donations and raised 187 items for Keeping Kids Warm.
So, I put out the invite and we pulled together another bag full of warmth! Guests who didn’t bring an item were invited to make a $2 donation and then I shopped for items. A heartfelt thank you to all who helped! Together, we donated 68 hats, mitts, socks and scarves to Keeping Kids Warm. I just LOVE how our Crop Girl Family supports this local charity!
I’m happy to say, this will now be a yearly event for us at our first crop event of each New Year! Together, we have donated over 250 items in the last two years – wouldn’t it be great to reach 500 in 2018?
Keeping Kids Warm is a local charity in London, ON that provides warm items for homeless youth.
Happy Scrapbooking!
