“The Lily Pad” – Happy Leap Day!

Hello! Hello!

Well, Happy, Happy Leap Day!

I hope you spend a little of your EXTRA DAY to enjoy some album making! I sure am! I am spending the day with 46 “Crop Girls” for my LEAP DAY CROP in London, Ontario! Be sure to check out my Facebook Page for some photos of today’s festivities as we are celebrating our EXTRA DAY together – scrapbooking, of course!

So, I thought I would share or ‘Take ‘n Make’ with everyone, as it is a special, special day!

The theme for the event was centered on how we are LUCKY to have an extra day to LEAP into our album making, so that was the inspiration for this layout. Why “The Lily Pad”? Well, I think the cluster of hexagons on the right side of the page, kind-of looks like lily pads!

Here is the sketch:

Here is the cut guide – note how you can move around the cut guide to get the patterns you want on each of the segments:

Here are a couple samples using both the Basketweave Border Punch and the Cable Chain Border Maker Cartridge:

Here is my sample using the Welcome Gifts and Take ‘n Make supplies at today’s event. Then I’ll add some photos taken today to this layout and add to my album!

So, what do you think? Can you imagine creating a layout like this? Could you swap out the hexagons for circles, hearts or other shapes? Could you swap the Cable Chain for another Border Cartridge or Punch? This has so many possibilities to help you LEAP into your album making!

Hoppy, Hoppy Scrapbooking!
